how to make firecracker + teriyaki yakitori

ingredients

sesame seeds to drizzle

1 spring onion, sliced into 2.5cm pieces

instructions


step one

make the yakitori

  1. dice your chicken thigh + season

  2. place in a bowl + coat in wagamama stir fry sauce - marinade for 30 minutes

  3. slice your king oyster mushrooms lengthways + season

  4. place in a dish + coat in wagamama firecracker sauce - marinade for 30 minutes

  5. add your chicken + your mushrooms onto your skewers

  6. heat your grill + oil well

  7. sear the chicken + mushrooms for 2 minutes on each side, basting continually with the sauce and ensuring the meat + veg are evenly cooked

  8. set aside to rest for 5 minutes

  9. next caramelise your lime. slice in half and dip in sugar then sear over high heat until golden + caramelised

  10. drizzle the skewers with the remaining sauce and arrange on a plate with your caramelised lime to serve

  11. top mushrooms with sesame seeds + chicken with spring onion
